Cortland Farm Distillery & Brewery creates hand-crafted, award-winning artisanal ales and lagers along with distilled spirits in the heart of downtown Cortland, New York. The brewery got its start in 2010 and was very much a grassroots effort to create a brewery in historic downtown.

Originally selling beers on a to-go basis with samples provided directly from the brewing facility, Cortland Farm transitioned to a farm brewery status in 2012 and committed to using local ingredients to craft its products. Now you can get delicious draughts and flights in the taproom, as wells as kegs, growlers and cans to-go. In 2016, they obtained a New York State distillery license and added gin, vodka and malt whiskey to the menu.

Flagship beers include the Industrial IPA, Naked Lap Lager, Firehouse Pale Ale and Red Dragon (a red ale), plus several stouts, including the 7 Valley (a milk stout), Black Widow and Sunrise (a coffee stout). Try the Flight Level 410, a 10-percent alcohol barleywine that also comes in a barrel-aged version. If you are not a beer drinker, they also carry local New York wines.

The location in downtown Cortland makes it a prime hang-out spot for residents and visitors, offering live music several nights a week in the taproom or outdoor Brewers Stage.
