Saranac Releases “Brewer’s Blood”

On Friday, April 22nd, 2016 craft beer enthusiasts will pour into the F.X. Matt Brewing Company for a taste of Saranac’s second Inner Circle brew of 2016: Brewer’s Blood. 

 Named not only for it’s color but also for the passion with which it was brewed, Brewer’s Blood is a robust, viscous, hop-forward Imperial Amber Ale. The event will include a guided tasting, exclusive trip into the brewhouse, and discussion facilitated by Hosted by Saranac’s master brewers, including Fred Matt whose family has owned and operated the Brewery since 1888. 

The Brewer’s Blood Release Party will be held at the F.X. Matt Brewery’s 1888 Tavern & Tasting Room at Court and Varick Streets in Utica at 5:30PM. The event is $20 and includes one beer token, an appetizer from a local catering partner, and a commemorative gift. About Brewer’s Blood

The blood-red ale is everything our brewers live to brew for. We’ve combined the finest continental malts with the most citrusy, piney, and dank hops available. The liquid is dry-hopped multiple times and supported by a robust malt bill that includes Crystal and Carapils malts for a full and smooth mouthfeel. 

Original Gravity: 19 Plato

Malts – Pale, Vienna, Crystal, Biscuit

Hops – Simcoe, Citra, Chinook, Equinox

ABV – 8.7%

IBU – 90

Color – Deep Amber
