The city of Rome has been chosen as the host city for the 2015 Locktoberfest celebration presented by Brew Central.

Officials from New York State Canals, the city of Rome and Oneida County Tourism announced Tuesday the event will be held at Bellamy Harbor Park Saturday, Oct. 3 from 1-8 p.m.

The free event will feature: live music, food trucks, free kayak rentals, farmers market, craft beer tasting, bounce houses and fireworks.

Musical performances include: Midnite Mike and the Bent Blinds, Stephanie Steele, AGNOSIA, CAUT!ON, Jimmy Wolf and SLUG.

This will be SLUG’s first performance in many years with its original members, “Genesse” Joe Trisolino, Bob Moore and Chris Andreski.

There also will be a craft fair in the Terminal Building hosted by Lainey’s Army, a nonprofit organization that finds homes for displaced dogs.
