Most of the Critz Farms lands are now permanently protected through the NYS Farmland Protection Program\, to remain forever development-free and available for agricultural purposes. This beautiful Central New York farm is less than 30 minutes from the Syracuse area. We are excited to announce that the local charity for this event will be the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation (CPF)! \n\n\nCritz Farms ales and ciders are truly handcrafted from start to finish\, beginning with the cider apples\, grown right on their farm. No problem! From 2 – 3 PM\, you can take your shot with the official Stump City Spud Launcher\, under expert (and insured) supervision. \nMusic TBA \nKids’ Zone \n\nMarshmallow cannon construction station – because why should grown-ups have all the potato-powered fun?!?\n\nGrab your friends\, your sense of adventure\, and maybe a helmet. This one’s guaranteed to go off with a bang! \nOFFICIAL CONSTRUCTION RULES: \n\nGun must be made of Schedule 40 PVC\nSchedule 40 PVC must be visible on the reservoir and barrel sides\nAll other components must be rated to 150 psi minimum\nGun’s release valve can be any variety (solenoid\, sprinkler valve\, ball valve) but it must be pressure rated\nMust use type D\, I/M style\, industrial style quick connector with valve to fill the air reservoir for quick filling (to move the contest along quickly)\nMust use primer and glue\nAir propellant only!\n\n  \nOFFICIAL SAFETY RULES: \n\nWe have the right to refuse any gun on the day of the event\nWe will inspect the gun for safety and pre-test with air at 120 psi\nPotatoes shot at 80 psi\nALL leaks will be disqualified by soapy water testing\nMust have a standard quick connect with valve\nGlue primer must be visible around all joints\nEye/ear protection will be required (we will have some on-site)\nGuns will be pointed down range of contest area ONLY – not be pointed at people or animals\n\n  \nLet’s do this!
