Brewery Ommegang is teaming up with Chef Alex Webster of Alex & Ika Restaurant in Cooperstown to chase away the winter blues with a series of beer dinners, starting this week on Thursday, January 23 at 6PM.
Chef Webster has designed a menu to delight both fans fine food and fine beer. The special menu is paired exclusively with Ommegang’s award-winning ales and is only available at Tatintarte, the intimate upstairs dining room inside Alex & Ika. The dinners are Thursday evenings, January 23, February 6, February 20, March 6, March 20, and April 3, with one seating only at 6PM.
Courses include Belgian onion soup paired with Hop House, apple fennel salad paired with Witte, pulled pork paired with Abbey Ale, wild shrimp pappardelle pasta paired with Rare Vos, beer-braised beef brisket paired with Three Philosophers, Kashmiri chicken korma paired with Hennepin, and Belgian chocolate truffles paired with Chocolate Indulgence. Each dish is expertly paired with an Ommegang ale, specially selected to enhance the dish.
