FLY CREEK, NY – The Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard’s 15th Annual Big Squeeze Weekend raised $2,654 from Saturday’s cider sales for the Friends of Bassett’s Women’s Imaging Center Campaign at Bassett Medical Center.

Currently the imaging center provides more than 6000 mammograms and 3,000 ultrasounds annually. The focus of the renovation is to update equipment and improve the physical plant to provide a better patient experience. The fundraising campaign aims to raise $1.5 million toward the renovations and equipment purchases that will include additional ultrasound technology, advanced mammography equipment and stereotactic units. Changes to the space will enhance the flow of patients providing a more comfortable and private experience.

“Having my annual mammography at the center, I personally look forward to an improved and modernized imaging center and welcome the opportunity for our Big Squeeze funds to be dedicated to this worthy cause,” said Brenda Michaels Co-owner of the Mill.

The Friends of Bassett’s Campaign for the renovation is on-going. To make a gift call the Friends at 607-547-3928 or make a secure donation at www.friendsofbassett.org.
